For 15 years, Jerry Kernan’s was one of the most familiar faces to countless Alfred University student-athletes and coaches. He made sure athletic events were well-staffed and ran smoothly; he saw that players’ equipment was in proper working order and their uniforms clean; and he oversaw scheduling for all AU athletic facilities.

Alfred University is again ranked third in the North as a “great school (at a) great price” among master’s-degree-granting institutions by U.S. News and World Report in its 2011 edition of “America’s Best Colleges.” While US News may be among the oldest and best-known of the college guides, it is only one of several that affirms AU's quality and value.
Corry D. Unis, who has been associate director of Admissions at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, has joined Alfred University’s Enrollment Management division as director of Admissions.
