Alfred University April Phools Concert 2012
The Alfred University Chamber Singers and the Alfred Volunteer Choir performed a variety of parodied musical selections during their April 1, 2012 April Phools Concert. Here’s a sampling of creative versions of the University’s Alma Mater. The concert was held in Alfred University’s Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall, and was directed by Luanne Crosby with accompanist Laurel Buckwalter.
Based on the show of interest, the W.I.L.D. initiative on campus has had a “fiercely” successful first year.
W.I.L.D. (Wilderness Immersion Learning and Discovery) had its beginnings in one of the Student Affairs Division’s objectives: Wellness within Wilderness.
Even though they sometimes do not realize it, a number of alumni seem destined to take their AU experiences — both in and out of the classroom — along a “green” path. Surrounded by beautiful green countryside on a campus protected by sentinel pines, it’s understandable they may have an understanding of and an appreciation for green/sustainable living careers and organizations.
